Peter Breunig’s research is focused on the socio-economic impacts of innovation and technology transformation in food and agriculture. He is interested in three main innovation areas: digitalization in agriculture, alternative proteins, and new land use and crop production systems. His methodological focus is on quantifying the farm-level economic effects of innovation, measuring technology acceptance, and quantifying the climate impact of changes in land use.
