Erika is the Global Director of Sustainability – Strategy, Science, Innovation & Destination at Iberostar Group. She also serves as the Co-Chair of the Coastal Tourism Breakthrough under the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action. With over a decade of leadership in responsible tourism and the sustainable ocean economy, Erika’s career spans the private, public, and non-profit sectors.

Prior to joining Iberostar, she was the founding Executive Director of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, the World Heritage Alliance, and the Sustainable Program of the UN Foundation. She also managed the Advisory Network for the High Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy at the World Resources Institute and helped establish the Tourism Action Coalition for a Sustainable Ocean. Erika holds a joint MBA and Master’s in Natural Resource Management from INCAE.
