Dr. Ludger Grunwald is a food chemist with a PhD and more than 20 years of international experience in food hygiene, food safety, disinfectants, cleaning technologies, and food contact compliance. Following positions at TÜV-CERT, Bayer, and Henkel, he joined Ecolab in 2003 and currently leads a global regulatory affairs team responsible for chemical management and regulatory risk assessment.

He serves on the Board of Detergent Europe (former AISE), contributes to CEFIC expert networks on chemical legislation, and was a member of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Working Group “Chemicals in Food Hygiene.” Dr. Grunwald is a frequent speaker at international conferences on food safety, cleaning and disinfection, and regulatory compliance.
