TRAVE®: Technology, Flexibility and Performance

At the heart of the G.Mondini portfolio is TRAVE®, the range of traysealers developed on the basis of 55 years of experience in the design and manufacture of tray sealing machines.

TRAVE® incorporates PLATFORM Technology®, a patented technology that enables different packaging solutions to be handled through a simple tooling change. This approach increases plant flexibility and makes it easier to adapt production to evolving products, materials and market requirements.

The TRAVE® range is designed to combine performance, safety, hygiene and flexibility, with configurations capable of meeting different production capacity requirements. The technology supports a variety of packaging methods, including MAP, Vacuum Skin and Just Sealed, allowing the same platform to be used for multiple applications.

TRAVE SINFONIA®: Control and Automation

The evolution of the G.Mondini platform reaches one of its highest expressions with TRAVE Sinfonia®, developed to provide extremely precise control over tray movement and production processes.

The system uses a magnetic guideway along which independent carriers, known as Nests, move. The movement of each individual tray can be controlled via software in terms of position, speed and acceleration.

The elimination of several transfer points and traditional conveying systems enables a more controlled and fluid process, with the aim of increasing productivity, precision, automation and flexibility in high-speed production lines.

PLATFORMER®: Producing the Tray Directly In-Line

Another distinctive element of G.Mondini’s portfolio is PLATFORMER®, a system that enables trays to be produced directly at the customer’s facility.

The technology starts with material supplied in reels and forms the tray directly in-line, reducing the need to store and handle pre-formed trays while optimising the use of packaging material.

The integration of PLATFORMER® and TRAVE® creates a highly flexible solution capable of combining tray production and sealing within a single process.

Among the benefits identified by G.Mondini are reduced warehouse space requirements, lower costs and emissions associated with transporting trays, and more efficient use of packaging material, with process waste declared to be below 2% for certain configurations.
