Fellowship of German Chancellor

Nicole Rocque is a German Chancellor Fellow 2024-25, awarded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to prospective global leaders. Her research „Financing a Food Systems Transition: Catalysing Fit-for Purpose Funding“ builds on models for drawing increased investment into sustainable food and agricultural practices as a response to the climate crisis. She is currently being supported in her research by the ProVeg Incubator in Berlin.

She previously worked with the Good Food Institute India to build an ecosystem for alternatives to animal-derived meat, eggs and dairy in India. She is interested in the role of food technology as a potential solution towards achieving food security and as a resilience strategy in the face of a worsening climate crisis.
