- What does the world look like in travel catering and chain hospitality after Covid-19?
- What remains and what we have to part with.
This event will take place in English.
In our fourth edition of our digital talk series, editor Katrin Wissmann will host Mario C. Bauer, Vapiano International – Brand Ambassador und Shareholder and Walter Seib, CEO, HMSHost International BV, Amsterdam for an exciting 60-minute session on what the foodservice world could look like after Covid-19.
In the past year, we have suffered enormously in our industry. Covid-19 is making life difficult for all operators in the foodservice industry.
Missing guests means missing turnover. That is a fact.
But it is also a fact that after the pandemic, nothing will ever be the same again. Of course, digitalisation has gained enormous speed. Of course, topics like mobile ordering and payment are the new passwords. And of course the guest is also becoming more demanding in terms of assortment, health and hygiene.
How do leaders of large companies deal with these new cornerstones?
This is what we want to discuss in the 4th Digital Summit Talk with two big players on the world stage of the foodservice industry.
Walter Seib from HMSHost International and Mario C. Bauer from Vapiano will talk about the most important changes of the future from their perspective – both in transport gastronomy and in classic professional gastronomy. Guided by questions from foodservice editor Katrin Wissmann, we can expect a deep insight into the current situation and a forward-looking view into the future after the pandemic.
What has come to stay? What will we have to say goodbye to in the future, albeit with a heavy heart?
In this Digital Talk, listeners can expect deep insights and outlooks for the entire foodservice page. We are also already looking forward to exchanging ideas with you via the chat function.
So sign up. It will be worth it.
The following speakers are confirmed:
Brand Ambassador, Entrepreneur & Teddy Bear
Vapiano – Curtice Brothers – White Space Partners – Dr. Oetker Hospitality
Mario C. Bauer is an entrepreneur, brand ambassador, keynote speaker & author.
Until 2017, for almost a decade, he was responsible at Vapiano as CEO International for growth & partnerships. Together with his team he opened more than 200 restaurants in 33 countries around the globe. Much to his regret the company took a downturn over the last two years and ended up in insolvency. Now, together with highly respected industry professionals like Henry McGovern, Sinclair Beecham, the Van der Valk family and Gregor Gerlach, Mario has purchased Vapiano. In the newly founded, Prague-based LOVE & Food Restaurant Holding the new owners will bundle their industry knowledge to restart and return the brand to its former culture and passion.
As a passionate keynote speaker talking about International Growth & Opportunities as well as Management and Motivation, Mario is well known within the hospitality industry. There is even more passion in his speeches about his first book “The Teddy Bear is everywhere”. His “Teddy Talks With”-podcast, in which he interviews experts from the hospitality industry is an inspiration for everyone interested in the hospitality industry & leadership (www.teddytalkswith.com). Last year he published his second book “Teddy Talks With … Conversations about Love and Food” featuring the conversations with the stars of the gastronomy business from his podcast. All profits from the books and podcasts are donated to a children’s hospital in Vienna.
Mario C. Bauer is also co-founder, board member and advisor of Dr. Oetker Hospitality, currently developing restaurant concepts for the American and European market, as well as co-founder of Whites Space Partners (Paris & London), a strategy consultancy for international growth.
While growing up in his parents’ restaurant in Austria, Mario developed an entrepreneurial mindset from an early age. He co-founded several startups such as Bagel Station (bagel & coffee shop concept) or Papernomad (sustainable ipad sleeves). Another adventure is his passionate engagement with Curtice Brothers, an organic ketchup cooked in Tuscany (www.curticebrothers.com) where he is co-founder and acting CEO. Here, he lives up to this credo that “in life only two things matter: Love & Food”.
Constantly travelling the world, Mario C. Bauer has a true international mindset. Currently, his harbor is a houseboat in Amsterdam, where he and his wife enjoy feeding the ducks in the morning and hosting friends from around the world.
No choice but to LOVE.
