This event will take place in English.

How Europe’s Restaurant Industry is Dealing with the Restart Reality

In-depth Analysis of the Italian, British, and Russian Markets.

Our 5th Digital Summit Talk will adress the question of how the coronavirus pandemic affected and changed the restaurant industry in different parts of Europe. We have invited three speakers, who will share a thorough overview of their country’s current state of affairs:

  • Flavia Fresia, Italy-based hospitality trade journalist and correspondent of foodservice Europe & Middle East
  • Philipp Laqué, Managing Director at RMS Revenue Management Solutions in London
  • Julia Matveeva, Editor in Chief of Foodservice Russia

In individual presentations, they will define which players or segments suffered most and who came out stronger of the crisis, they will address changes in areas such as delivery/take-away or social media activity and take a through look at how the restart-business is developing. How are operators mastering current challenges? Which new opportunities do they see?

The Digitial Talk will end with a Q&A session that will allow participants to directly post questions to the speakers via a chat tool.
