John Oakley is Country Marketing Manager for IKEA Austria, responsible for content, media planning, CRM, performance media, social media and Insights.

Originally from England, he has been active in the international advertising and marketing industry for over 20 years, working with leading brands such as Nike, Volvo, Amazon and BMW MINI.

Before joining IKEA Austria, John was Managing Director of Initiative Austria and IGMA Board member, representing the interests of Austria’s media agencies.

John believes that in this dynamic time in communication, data and cultural insight combined with brand purpose are at the heart of commercial success.
