itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Prof. Dr. Martin Gand ist seit Oktober\u202f2026 Professor f\u00fcr Biotechnologie an der Universit\u00e4t Hohenheim, wo er im Institut f\u00fcr Lebensmittelwissenschaft und Biotechnologie in Stuttgart forscht und lehrt. Vorher war er Gruppenleiter an der Justus Liebig Universit\u00e4t Gie\u00dfen, am Institut f\u00fcr Lebensmittelchemie und -biotechnologie, wo er die Forschungsstrategie f\u00fcr alternative Proteine aus Speisepilzen und deren Enzymen aufbaute und nationale sowie internationale Studien zur Entwicklung pilzbasierter Proteinquellen leitete. Zuvor absolvierte er eine zweij\u00e4hrige Postdoc Phase an der Universit\u00e4t Hamburg in der Arbeitsgruppe \u201eMolekulare Phytopathologie\u201c, wo er eine Pilzstammsammlung aufbaute, charakterisierte und deren enzymatisches Portfolio zur Verwertung lignocellulosehaltiger Biomasse untersuchte. Er studierte Biochemie und promovierte im Bereich Protein Biochemie zur Nutzung neu entdeckter Enzyme, beides an der Universit\u00e4t Greifswald.<\/p>\n<p>Seit November\u202f2020 ist er Mitglied im Vorstand der Fachgruppe der Lebensmittelbiotechnologen der DECHEMA, der Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Chemische Technik und Biotechnologie, und seit Februar\u202f2026 die Position des Vorstandsvorsitzenden
