Agrarwissenschaftlerin Silvia Bender koordinierte nach ihrem Studium in Bonn zun\u00e4chst das Projekt \u201eLebendige Natur durch Landwirtschaft\u201c am Institut f\u00fcr Landwirtschaftliche Botanik, bevor sie als Assistentin der Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrung bei Bioland Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg arbeitete. Nach verschiedenen Aufgaben beim Bioland Bundesverband, folgte fast \u00fcber zwei Legislaturperioden eine T\u00e4tigkeit als Referentin f\u00fcr l\u00e4ndliche R\u00e4ume, Landwirtschaft und Tierschutz der Bundestagsfraktion B\u00b490\/Gr\u00fcnen. Ihr Weg f\u00fchrte sie als Referatsleiterin des rheinland-pf\u00e4lzischen Ministeriums f\u00fcr Umwelt, Ern\u00e4hrung, Energie und Forsten an die Landesvertretung beim Bundesrat in Berlin. Beim Bund f\u00fcr Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND) war sie zwei Jahre als Abteilungsleitung Biodiversit\u00e4t t\u00e4tig, bevor sie als Staatsekret\u00e4rin in Brandenburg ernannt wurde. Seit Dezember 2021 ist sie beamtete Staatssekret\u00e4rin im Bundesministerium f\u00fcr Ern\u00e4hrung und Landwirtschaft
