Nach dem Abitur hat er an der FH als Finanzbeamter Steuerrecht mit dem Abschluss Diplom-Finanzwirt studiert und ist gleichzeitig in die Politik bei B\u00fcndnis 90\/Die Gr\u00fcnen eingestiegen.<\/p>\n<p>Seit 1996 hat er sich au\u00dferdem intensiv mit Drogenpolitik besch\u00e4ftigt. Ab 1997 war er Fraktionsvorsitzender im Remscheider Stadtrat und als solcher in einer F\u00fclle von Gremien vertreten, darunter einige Aufsichtsr\u00e4te und der \u00c4ltestenrat der Stadt. Nach einer Selbstanzeige wegen Cannabisbesitz hat er die Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Drogen in NRW gegr\u00fcndet und sich im Fachforum Drogen der Gr\u00fcnen Jugend engagiert. Vor seiner 11-monatigen Weltreise (2000-2001) war er ein Jahr Schatzmeister im Bundesvorstand der Gr\u00fcnen Jugend. Nach seiner R\u00fcckkehr im Juli 2001 war er zun\u00e4chst Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer des Bundesnetzwerkes Drogenpolitik (BND) bei den Gr\u00fcnen.<\/p>\n<p>2002 wurde er Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer des frisch gegr\u00fcndeten Deutschen Hanfverbandes, den er dann 2004 als alleiniger Inhaber \u00fcbernahm und bis heute leitet. Georg Wurth ist auch in diversen weiteren drogenpolitischen Initiativen aktiv, z.B. beim\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.schildower-kreis.de\/\">\u201cSchildower
